"The Lorax" Puppet Theatre
The Lorax Puppet Theatre is a FREE to borrow resource for class room work, your school fete, Scout or Guide family day, pre-school, birthday party or any event for children.
The puppet portable case contains:
Nine puppets, sets of trees and a prop on a stick. CD of backing tape. Several copies of the script containing the character parts and off stage prompts. These are laminated and washable. Use blue tack to stick up inside theatre walls. Repair kit for puppets with spare eyes, glue, velcro etc. Plus signage to advertise your show!
Ways to use this education package:
- Class rehearses and performs play to other classes, at assembly, school fete or Education or book Week.
- Class reads book together and then performs play. Discuss which method works the best for learning.
- Watch DVD, read book and perform play - with discussions on how different media methods get message across
- Work class curriculum to have staged lesson studies to accompany book.
- Class performs play with script and puppets with own voices or tapes their own voices to make backing tape.
- Class performs play from script, make costumes and act out to others.
